Study Twi Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

 

Study Twi: Refers to Study Twi, operated and owned by The Clay Group LTD, registered in England and Wales.

 

The Client: The individual who books a service, including anyone on whose behalf the booking is made.

 

The Tutor: A person provided by Study Twi to deliver tutoring services for programmes that include one-on-one lessons.

 

Force Majeure: Any event outside of Study Twi's control, including industrial action, civil disturbance, or natural disaster.

 

Lesson: A single session of instruction, either online or group-based, typically lasting one hour. Lesson duration and format may vary by programme.

 

Programme: Refers to any of Study Twi’s three main programmes: Academy, Pro, or Essentials. Each programme includes a different set of lessons and resources as detailed below.

 

2. Acceptance and Acknowledgement

 

By booking a Study Twi service via the website or through email/phone, the Client confirms acceptance and understanding of these terms and conditions. Non-compliance with these terms or actions that go against the spirit of this contract may result in cancellation of service without a refund.

 

3. Programmes Offered

 

Study Twi provides three distinct Twi language programmes:

- Study Twi Online Course: An online self-paced course designed for independent learners. This includes downloadable materials and pre-recorded lessons.

 

- Study Twi Academy: A structured, interactive programme with bi-weekly group sessions, ideal for those seeking accountability and peer learning. Study Twi schedules sessions and manages content, but there is flexibility for self-paced study between sessions.

 

Twi Pro Programme: A premium programme that combines bi-weekly group sessions with one-on-one lessons. Pro is designed for clients seeking in-depth, personalised instruction and tailored feedback from a Tutor.

 

Study Twi also offers translation, copywriting, and voice-over services.

 

4. Study Twi’s Obligations

 

Once payment is received, Study Twi commits to delivering the selected programme according to these terms and the description provided on our website.

 

5. Rights of Study Twi

 

- Study Twi reserves the right to accept, limit, or decline service requests for any programme.

- For Pro programme clients, Study Twi may change Tutors if necessary. programme purchases are not linked to a specific Tutor.

- Study Twi reserves the right to pause programme delivery during pre-scheduled events or official holidays with prior notification.

 

6. Client Obligations

 

The Client agrees to uphold these terms and acknowledges that, for programmes with one-on-one lessons, Tutors should only be engaged through Study Twi. Clients are prohibited from soliciting or hiring Tutors outside Study Twi’s platform for two years after programme completion. Any breach will result in a fine of £500.

 

Prohibited Actions: Clients are prohibited from taking screenshots, videos, or photos of Tutors during sessions or from publishing defamatory, abusive, or derogatory comments regarding Study Twi or Tutors.


 

7. Programme and Lesson Scheduling

 

Each programme has specific scheduling guidelines:

 

- Study Twi Online Course: The self-paced format allows Clients to access materials at any time for 6 months.

 

- Study Twi Academy and Twi Pro Programme: Group sessions occur bi-weekly at scheduled times, as communicated by Study Twi. 

 

- Pro programme One-on-One Lessons: Scheduling is mutually agreed upon between the Client and Tutor within available time slots, generally Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm and weekends from 2 pm to 5 pm.

 

8. Client Rights

 

The Client may cancel or reschedule one-on-one lessons per the cancellation policy outlined below.

Pro programme Clients may request a Tutor change if expectations are not met, subject to Tutor availability.

 

The Client may pause programme participation for up to three months, with prior notice. After this period, any remaining prepaid lessons or sessions will be marked as complete.

 

9. Prices and Payments

 

Refer to Study Twi's website for current pricing details. Payment terms for each programme include:

 

Essentials: Full payment required at the time of booking. This programme is a one-time purchase.

 

Academy and Pro: Full payment or instalment options are available at checkout, with instalments due by dates specified in the purchase agreement. Instalments are available only with a prior arrangement.

 

One-on-One Lessons (Pro programme): Lessons are not confirmed until payment is received. Payments may be made through the website by bank card, bank transfer, or PayPal.

 

Refunds are not available once a programme begins, except under verified medical circumstances, and will include a processing fee.

 

10. Rescheduling or Cancelling Lessons (Pro Programme Only)

 

- Cancellations or reschedules for one-on-one lessons must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full fee or deducted from the lesson bundle.

 

- Consistent cancellations by the Client may result in programme suspension or termination.

 

11. Tutors (Pro Programme Only)

 

- Study Twi will make every effort to assign a Tutor suitable for the Client’s learning style and needs. Should a Tutor withdraw, a replacement will be provided when possible.

- If Study Twi cannot provide a replacement Tutor within a reasonable timeframe, a partial refund will be issued for the remaining one-on-one lessons.

 

12. Study Materials

 

All programme materials are provided through the online Study Twi platform. Additional textbooks or resources recommended by Tutors for Pro programme clients are optional and may be purchased at the Client's discretion.


 

13. Attendance and Participation

 

Attendance at scheduled lessons is the Client’s responsibility. Missed group sessions in the Academy or Pro programmes cannot be rescheduled. Course transfers are not typically possible once a programme begins.


 

14. Enrolment and Cancellation Policy

 

Clients are encouraged to review personal schedules before enrolling, as programme fees are non-refundable after 24 hours post-booking.

 

Cancellations: All cancellations must be requested via email at askstudytwi@gmail.com.

 

15. Booking & Payments

 

Clients may book and pay for programmes through the Study Twi website using bank card, PayPal, or invoiced payments. Instalments (if available) must follow the agreed schedule to maintain programme access. Additional 1:1 lessons may be arranged and booked via email at askstudytwi@gmail.com.

 

16. Liability

 

Study Twi and its Tutors are not liable for any losses, damages, or injuries related to tutoring services. While Study Twi provides high-quality instruction, improvement in language skills cannot be guaranteed.

 

17. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

 

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any modifications to these terms by the Client are valid only if confirmed in writing by Study Twi.


 

18. Data Protection

 

Study Twi processes personal data according to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The Client, Tutor, and Study Twi agree to maintain confidentiality of all information shared during lessons. For more information, refer to our [Privacy Policy](www.studytwi.com/privacy-policy).
